Hiller receives National Recognition

Hiller Distinguised School noticeHiller Elementary has been nationally recognized for student success in 2018 by the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators (NAESPA).

"We are thrilled that our school has been recognized by NAESPA, reaffirming the incredible work being done at Hiller," said Brad Sassack, Hiller Principal. "The goals, achievement and leadership traits of our students and staff have led to academic excellence and a positive impact both within our school and our community."

A project of the NAESPA, the National ESEA Distinguished Schools Program publicly recognizes schools for outstanding academic achievements.The honor recognizes Hiller as one of 2 schools in Michigan and 1 of 100 schools throughout the United States for exceptional student achievement in 2018.

A team of representatives from Hiller has been invited to attend a national conference at the end of January where they will share details of the work being done by students and staff that has led to this success and to learn ideas from other schools and presenters.

"It's such an honor for our school to be recognized like this for our hard work," said Lindsay Staskowski, Hiller Reading Specialist. "We are looking forward to the National ESEA Conference, sharing our Hiller success stories and learn more ways to help our students succeed."
